I need a program that reads the first x (variable) number of html characters of a webpage into a string. If that string matches one entered by the user, then the program searches for two other text strings on the page and records all characters between the two strings. The actual recording will take place either upon completed page load OR when a certain button/link on the webpage is pressed. User specifies which of these two events will be used to prompt recording. Recording will consist of appending the recorded string to a text file and/or emailing it to a second email address using an smtp server. If the above description is hard to understand, consider the program's main purpose: To record and notify a parent of any webbased email messages that their child reads OR sends. The search strings (3 of them), and value of button, should be stored in some sort of text file, so that user could add any webbased email system. These additional email systems to monitor will be stored on separate lines of that text file. Program should run hidden from taskmanager (w2k processes ok). Needs to work with Internet Explorer (Netscape is a plus, but not if it increases your bid by much).
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased.
