I'm looking a ruby on rails developer, & possible two, to add some functionality into our existing site. We want to screen scrape and use the eBay API to extract various data and place this in a data model which will have some relationships with our existing site. We then want a web 2.0 front end that allows users to search the data and generate graphs based upon trends and values. We already have: 1. Initial code to scrape 2 sites, however this is a rake task & the methodology needs to be reviewed. 2. Initial data model, however this needs to be reviewed 3. Development, test, & production linux based Ruby on Rails servers, code managed by subversion. 4. An operational resources that can configure applications, gems, & plugins on our environment. If things turn out well we look to form a regular relationship.
