Need a web design/layout for web hosting business. Domain is "[url removed, login to view]". Looking for simplicity, as I've found that long and detailed scares people away. Also do NOT want it to look like a template site. Please, in the past, some people have tried to pull over templates on me, and they were reported to RAC for copyright infringement and sure enough, RAC found there copies on TemplateMonster. Please - do not try and fool me, I want something unique for a *real* web hosting business site, not a reseller or something that will never get anywhere.
So - simple, yet attractive. Preferrably with no people on the layout. I don't like layouts with people on them. Please submit mockup with your bid. Some coders hate that I ask for this and then bid anyway and tell me that I don't get anything without paying for it first, but hey, if that's the way you look at it - please don't even bother bidding. I won't accept ANY bids without seeing a mockup of what you envision of have in mind for this project. There's no point in getting started if we're never going to agree on something. Also, because I'm not in DIRE need of getting this SOON, I'll post the deadline for the project to be completed for three weeks. Because you won't be rushed, please take that into consideration in your bid.
also going to need the layout in psd/html , sliced version too all ready for upload. Will want up to 5 pages designed. For example, build the shared plans, reseller plans, faq, etc pages, not just the main page.
Here is something I had made by a friend of mine, I like it, but don't LOVE it. I feel that almost any of you guys here at RAC can improve this and make it 500x better, or, you can make something totally different that I will love better. But to give you a basis for something I like, here is something to check out: <[url removed, login to view]>
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
**I have received a dozen bids for this project, and yet every coder who has bid has proven two things to me. One, that they do not know how to read, because my bid clearly suggests that you DO NOT bid without a mockup of the project. And two, that apparently I shouldn't be "outsourcing" my design needs, when apparently I should have hired an American firm who knows how to read and follow directions. _STOP BIDDING WITHOUT A MOCKUP._**
* * *This broadcast message was sent to all bidders on Sunday May 29, 2005 11:05:31 AM:
I find it extremely disappointing that each of you bid without a mockup of the project, as I requested. Therefore, you are each permanently banned from bidding on my project, I will not accept you for this, or any future projects.
I asked that no coder bid without a mockup, and obviously you do not know how to read, and simply bid blindly on web design projects without fully reading the description. That's not how we do things in America, and therefore, I'll take my business elsewhere.
