Flash + Embedded VB Application

This application runs on a Pocket PC (PPC) and requires an interface between a Pocket PC Access Database and a Flash front end. The Flash must communicate with Embedded Visual Basic (EVB) so that it can display images that are in the database on the Pocket PC screen. These images are small bit maps, that are presented to the user in a matrix. When the user clicks on an image on the PPC screen, image data is collected from the database and displayed on the next Flash screen. We have a EVB program for accessing the database, but we need a way for Flash and EVB to talk to each other. A prototype of how the front end in Flash will operate has been built to present to the Flash expert and the EVB portion is under construction. There is a desktop component to the interface that is writting in Visual Basic 6 and is used to build the database. This is not a web application so the files must exists on the PPC at all times.

## Deadline information

Project will be divided into 4 phases, specification, alpha, beta and final. If the programmer gets involved in the design of the Flash interface itself, a separate bid will be produced.
