We would like to sell our greeting cards through our website, [url removed, login to view] (all that’s on that site right now is not a professional design, its only to give you an idea of the sort of look we want). We want a professional redesign of the site with an African touch we want to portray.
Attractive, but fast loading home page should let users choose what type of greeting cards they want; handmade, printed or ecards. But home page should display a few cards in each category. Each category of greeting cards (except ecards which is not included in this project) should be able to display thumbnails of cards and larger images, with description if user clicks on them. Administrator should also be able to add, remove or modify greeting cards on display– hence, the choice of an appropriate shopping cart application.
The order page which can only be reached through the printed and handmade sections of the site should capture the kind of card (and the wordings of the cards + optional picture (for handmade cards). Also name and address of recipient. This should be stored in a table that can be exported in a neat text file with the click of a button on the administrator side.
You would need to prepare a “coming soon” or “currently being upgraded” page for users who click on ecards (it actually currently under construction).
Its just over a week to Christmas and we do not want to loose out totally on sales this season, so we want a speedy job. In fact, we would love to see a bid from someone who has done something like this before and who would just need modifications. In the absence of this however, the completed modules would need to be uploaded as they are completed as it would not make business sense for us to wait until the completion of the whole project before we go live.
Payments on the site would be through credit cards and paypal (site would need some paypal integration). The greeting cards would also be sold through eBay (added advantage if you know something about eBay…). Bids with fastest completion times are more likely to win.
Thanks for reading up to this point.
