We're looking to have a website designed to track sports statistics. There will be approximately 13 pages for the site and a minimum of 3 databases on the backend. Users will be required to log into the site.
8 BEFORE LOGIN PAGES:
-6 pages will contain descriptions of the content of the site viewable by users before they login at the registration page. These pages will be basic HTML pages with user login fields available. The content of each page will differ, however they will maintain a similar design and format for consistency.
-1 page will be a registration page. Personal user information will be entered into fields and stored. The back end database will be mySQL. Programming required will be Ajax.
-1 page will be a shopping cart page to allow users to pay for services offered on the site. This page will link to Pay-Pal or another similar service.
5 AFTER LOGIN PAGES:
Once logged in, users will have access to approximately 5 pages. Users will have access to over 600 player statistics that are updated daily from an external source.
-1 Page will display articles written and submitted by the website administrators. This page requires a simple HTML format.
-1 Page will be a forum for the website. Users can generate topics for threads, as well as reply to other user's posts. This page requires Ajax.
-1 Page will display over 600 athletes in all statistical categories in a chart form. The players can be sorted by each category, as well as by team, position, and user defined statistical categories. This page requires a mySQL database updatable daily. The data for each statistical category must be stored daily so it can be retrieved for any given day.
2 GRAPHING TOOLS:
-2 different Flash graphs will have to be created. The graphs will display the performance in each sports statistical categories for the athletes. The information displayed in the graphs will include various statistical categories, user defined time periods, and user defined customizable categories.
Due to the highly customizable content of the graphs, Flash will be required to properly display the content as well as to accomodate changes made by the user on the fly.
This project will require frontend design, backend programming, and database design. This Project will need to be tested and completed no later than July 1st, 2008. The site should be designed to be expandable, to be in more than one language, and to have the ability to be reskinned at a later date.
