We want to create a online drum machine/sequencer that is a membership site with not only drum samples but instruments as well ( piano, strings etc) It probably needs to be Flash action script 3.0 or Java . This is a online project and needs to work with all major browsers and PC and Mac.
Its used to make hip hop songs etc.
Basically the design is made up of 4 sections: The "timeline," the "pads," the mixer, and the control panel.
There will be a demo version for them to try online on the site before they join the membership site. On the demo version there will be a vocal tag going thru the music. On the main version the vocal tag will not be there
There needs to be a admin area so I can load the sounds and also load new sounds as time goes on to keep it current.
Visitors come to the site, hit the pads and a default drum kit and other sounds are on the pads initially. They can hit "record" and a Tempo BPM click will sound. They hit the pads or piano keyboard and the sequencer will record whatever is played. The notes will be automatically quantized into the timeline. After the 8 bars of play, the timeline will "loop" and play the 8 bars over. You can also drag the sounds to the timeline in stead of clicking or recording.
Visitors and members alike (In both sections) should be able to move sounds around on the timeline as well. They should be able to hit the timeline and create new beats or music.
The sequencer should feature "drum kits" and "Key kits" as well. ( We will upload these via a admin panel.) The user can click on any pad, keyboard, or fader and choose what sound will be on that Pad etc.
They will need to be able to save the work they did and return later to work on it again. They should also when they want be able to save it as a MP3 or wave file.
Some of these options should include "complete kits" that will fill up all pads or piano keyboard with sounds. (A horn on one pad, a cymbal on the other, etc.)
The MIXER simply adjusts the volume of every track.
A idea you can see is [url removed, login to view]
Of courser we would want a original look etc, not copied at all.
