We have a custom designed video player (Flash/AS3) that plays YouTube videos.
We need a user interface built for this player.
The player has over 70 functions that can be controlled through FlashVars or XML. For example, displaying a logo in the player, changing the color of the player control bar, turning buttons in the control bar on and off, etc.
The interface will allow the user to **visually configure these functions**.
After the user has selected the configuration settings for the player, they will be able to enter a YouTube video URL, click a button and get the embed code that they can paste into a web page.
This user interface can be HTML, PHP or even a Wordpress plugin (whatever works best for the developer).
The user will be able to save their player configurations too, so the script will probably need to access MySQL or use SQLite.
We have a custom video player for YouTube videos. The player is Flash/AS3 and we have the full source code to it.
The player has 72 different functions that can be controlled by FlashVars or XML. These functions would include changing the player color, turning buttons on or off in the player control bar, changing the control bar size, etc.
We need a user interface developed where the user:
1. Can visually configure each of the 72 functions
2. Enter the URL to a YouTube video
3. Click a button and they'll get embed code that they can copy and paste into their web site or blog.
This interface can be done in HTML, PHP, Flash or even be a Wordpress plugin (whatever works best for the developer).
**The user will have the ability to open, edit, create, select and delete players.** That means they can save the settings under a player name, reopen that player and use it again, edit it, delete it, etc. Because of this, the interface will probably need either MySQL or SQLite.
**While the player is Flash, the embed code MUST have HTML5 fallback for iOS (Apple mobile devices)**. Since the player will be using YouTube videos, if Flash is not installed on a viewers device, the fallback could be the YouTube iframe embed code (as an example).
**The embed code MUST allow users to embed multiple videos on the same page** (if the embed code uses any div tags, etc., they must all be
**The interface must have a very simple security feature;** whenever the user creates or selects a player, the interface will verify that the user is licensed to use the software (by communicating with our server, etc.). This does not have to be complex or fancy. Just a very simple check that will stop uneducated users from stealing the software.
We have included an image of a rough example of what the user interface might look like.
