The main objective of this project is to produce a system which demonstrates foreign language learning
skills (dutch) and allows users to keep a secure on-line record of their progress. A list of graded exercises that can
be completed using the techniques should be available, searchable through properties such as the difficulty
involved. The level of functionality required for the system should be based on discussions with the client.
The exact features needed on the site should be determined through a full information gathering process. A
formal set of requirements needs to be produced, through discussions with the client, looking at
comparative sites for maths topics and other similar learning systems and analysing relevant research
papers. The associated literature review will look at how the site can best be used to support training. The
final site must encompass a substantial amount
of multimedia content, for instance using sound, pictures, animation, video or graphics as appropriate. The
multimedia Web site will be developed using the MUDPY methodology ([url removed, login to view]).
The finished product must be both easy to update for a non-technical user, for instance when a new piece
needs to be added. This might be by dynamically generating content when it is needed. For a high mark, a
full and associated administrative system should be provided.
The final product must be critically evaluated against the initial requirements.
As it is a small project what i require from you is
1. to create a login account (registration) using php which can be correlated to dreamweaver.
2. create a index page (nothing fancy)
3. to create a typing flash game where the user is able to select the difficulty and record the score on the scoreboard.
the game should consist of image of the word e.g. (if there is an image of an apple then the user has to type i the word in ducth etc.
SOME ADDITIONAL HELP TO AID YOU. I DIDNT KNOW HOW TO DO THIS BUT HOPEFULLY YOU WILL FIGURE IT OUT.
how to link the scorecard to the php.
with the PHP and a MySQL database you can create the scoreboard you are after. Basically you can write a service in PHP which accepts the "username" and "score" as parameters and then adds them to a table in your MySQL database. You can then have a separate PHP script which does a select from the MySQL table, and sorts it descending for the score, and restricts to the top 10 scores, then use the PHP to format this as xml and send this back to your flash quiz game. The flash quiz game can then parse the xml scores and render this as a score board. In doing this you can record peoples scores from all over the world, who play your quiz.
