223808 Modal window with progress bar

I created a modal window with a progress bar for searches, but the window progress bar (javascript)only works in IE. I need it to work for netscape as well as Fire fox etc. This is a general progress bar not actually tied in to the time it takes to get information. It justs looks nice to me. I need it to execute when the user starts a search and close by itself before leaving the current page the user is on. If you can come up with a better graphic, be my guest.
