This requirement consists of adding two new features to our news feed website [url removed, login to view] - one is to add a search box to be able to search the text of the current page, and the second is to automatically search the text of the current page and compile a top 20 list of the most popular keywords on the current page (very much like a keyword density tool used in SEO websites).
1) Search box - the functionality is to find words on the current page - exactly how CTRL-F works on IE and FF. Below the pictures box on the website ([url removed, login to view]) we want to add a search box consisting of an entry field and a search button.
When typing a word and pressing search - all words that match on the current page should be highlighted with a different colour for easy location on the page. This functionality should behave very much like the built in page search of Internet Explorer and Firefox (by pressing CTRL-F).
2) Top 20 Keywords - When a page loads on our website we are looking for a small, efficient script which will search all the text on the current page and compile a list of the top 20 keywords located on the current page in order of the most popular keyword on the top.
The Top 20 Keywords should be shown in the same box as the search box described in part one above - to the right. When you click on a Top 20 keyword, all instances of the keyword on the current page should be highlighted (just like the search results in part one) so a user can easily navigate to them.
This operation must be executed once a page is loaded, and should not need the use of a database - since the news content is changing every 5 minutes this operation needs to be executed every time a page is loaded.
