We have a games site ([url removed, login to view]) and we now want to do Tournaments for games. This is what we need:
As I see it, we will need to have a simple admin page for Tournaments where we will just enter the dates and the time of Tournament rounds. Then for each tournament we will have 1 page that could work like this. Before the Tournament starts it shows the application page [IMAGE1]. Then 24 hours before the Tournament reaches the set launch date, it will change the page to showing Tournament run downs [IMAGE2]. We can as well just have 2 pages for this. The goal is to not spend too much time on this project since we need to see how it will work out. So to not go into too deep, too long, production.
So on Tournament application we will have things like on [IMAGE1]. People will apply if they are logged in. If they are not logged in, the application form will move them to login page. Applications will be sent to an email with subject "Supreme Commander | Tournament Application".
On Tournament run downs [IMAGE2] we will have layout set for 8 teams, it will all be live, and we will just HTML change winners as rounds go through.
So the only automated system that we need here is the count down clock. We will have to have this feature. So to explain it. We will have to have 3 set dates in the "admin" area for Tournaments. 3 dates for 3 rounds. We need to have also hours and minutes as you can see. So we need to be able to set fixed dates with time for the tournaments.
24 hours before the first date/round is reached, the application page closes down and is not viewable anywhere anymore, and we will show Tournament run downs instead. As you can as well see, the next round count down will be automated in a way that it will show which round is next and initiate clock for it automatically as round dates are reached. After the third round date, time is reached, the next round count down will dissapear from the page.
