I have installed a cms called MD-Pro (an offshoot of Post-Nuke). I have installed a mod within that cms called PNphpbb2 (a forum). I have also installed an application called Photopost. All 3 applications use the same database.
Theoretically Photopost will allow for a 3rd party login function using phpBB2 or Post-Nuke. I believe that it is mainly a cookie issue. One which I have not been able to solve.
Here's what I need done:
MD-Pro will be the owner and authenticator of all users. Users MUST login through MD-Pro.
The forum (PNphbb2 or phpBB2) and gallery (Photopost) must work seemlessly with MD-Pro and each other. When a user logs in using MD-Pro, that user will also be logged into the forum and the gallery as well. When the user logs out of any of the 3 applications then the user is logged out of all applications.
The forum and the gallery do not have to be a part of (a mod) the cms. They can be standalone as long as my users are able to go from one to another freely without having to login to each application.
A banner/header file will need to be used in all applications that will allow for moving between all 3 applications. In other words if a user is in the gallery the banner/header will have links allowing them to move to the forum or cms and vice versa. This banner/header will need to use the banner function (for advertising banners) from the MD-Pro cms. The current theme on the site is the one I will be using and the one that the coder will use to develop from.
I am open to suggestions and/or changes to the way it is currently setup. The site is up and running (not as I wish) and may be seen at the following url - http://www.digitalscrapbookpages.com.
It is possible that as the individual applications evolve the need for additional scripting may become necessary. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact me.
To become familiar with the applications I am using I have supplied the url's to their individual sites below.
MD-Pro - [url removed, login to view]
Photopost - [url removed, login to view]
PNphpbb - [url removed, login to view] or visit [url removed, login to view]
