I need a web based event registration system with the following details. These are the highlights of what is needed. I prefer that the coding be PHP & MySql, but I will consider your recommendations. If you plan to use an open source software/script as the base you much tell me which one(s) you plan to use. I will provide all graphics as needed, although there should not be much. I strongly encourage US based companies to bid. If you are outside the US, you must be extremely fluent in English, both written and spoken.
Here are the details of the three main areas - Member Profile, Event Registration, and Back End.
*User goes to his/her group page on the website by logging in.
*User is presented with all available events/courses. All typical details are presented (date/description/location, etc).
*User can register for the event.
*User can download iCal or vCal for event.
*User can be 1 of 5 types (professional titles to be exact).
*User can register him/her self as well as 10 or more additional attendees. Each registrant will need to enter typical data (name, address, phone, email, etc.). Pricing for the event will be dependent on which of the 5 potential types the registrant is checked off as. A option to fill in all common data on the registration form will be required. If the event is sold out the user will be told that there is no availability. As such of the the first fields on the registration will need to be the number of attendees.
* If full the user will have an option of being added to a wait list. Which is stored in the database.
*Upon completion of the registration form, the user will be taken to a "check out" page where they will pay for the event. Check out needs to be integrated into the current merchant services company is [url removed, login to view]
*Confirmation is displayed and emailed or hard copy mailed (see back end for clarification).
*User is returned to main page.
MEMBER PROFILE AREA:
* Member profile with typical information fields. User ID will be set prior to registering. Users have existing ID numbers that will act as user names. When this ID is entered, a validation of a database (MySql) will need to be performed. Only if the user ID is valid can they register.
* Members home page will need to vary based on their geographical area, which is stored in field in the users database file. (see item 1 under FRONT END.
*Admin of events, add, edit, delete. Set max number of attendees. View attendees registration records. SIMPLE export of data into Excel.
*Admin can build reports by check off boxes for each of ALL fields in the database. Report can be displayed or printed.
*Email is automatically sent to registrant one week prior to event.
*Admin can cancel registration of an individual user, whether or not they were individual or as part of a group registration. Doing this will prompt a refund routine and allow for the immediate processing of a refund.
*Event wait list.
*View historical information on each members prior attendance to prior events.
This entire system will be integrated into the existing website.
A very good example of the a system is Jumpstart-it. Google it and it's the first one. Apparently they are not selling any new license.
Please do not bid if you do not have expertise in this type of coding. Having build similar system which I can view will be considered a plus.
