I am looking for a website to assist childcare providers in their daily activities including billing and file management. Additional features would include private messaging and a newsletter function for facility to parent communication. I also want the ability for parents to find childcare or babysitters, and care providers to search for employees. This service will be free for everyone with a few Google adverts.
Primary Account Type & (Some) Functions;
Childcare Provider Account
> Manager & Employee Accounts
> The facility should have a "about us" page for them to direct parents to for more information... it will include a basic calendar, times of operation, etc... somewhat like a myspace page. It should also work like a portal for parents to send messages or make payments.
> The ability to bill/invoice, receive payments, send receipts, track the in/out times of the children, etc...
> To receive payments, they should be able to link it to their paypal account... they should also be able to program it to include the fees or not too (like GAF)
> We should also have the ability to setup and track employee hours as a time clock.
> Parent Account (with children linked to it)
> The ability to track bills and payments, update child(s) information and records.
> They should also have the ability to apply for childcare or look for babysitters.
Babysitter or Job Seeker Account
> Should be a portfolio or resume with a myspace style of page for them to talk about the distance from "home" they are willing to travel, prices, etc...
> They should be able to apply for openings at providers too.
We will also provide more information about background and drug testing too.
I don't mind making the final escrow payment 3 months after a successful "launch", but I want a one year warranty against bugs or technical issues (not changes).

Also, to give you an idea of the information we require, I have also attached a PDF with the information needed to register a child for a provider to track information.
I think the ability for providers to send messages, bills or newsletters to the parents could be very important.
The in and out times should have two ways to enter the data... one way is like a time clock where they use a "child" (or parent) ID and password to time the child in and out of daycare. - The other is a "tab" setup where an employee can quickly browse their paper sign-in and manually enter the times in an easy to type setup. (same for employees too, for their time clock and payroll)
Also, the system should be able to generate a PDF to print (example will be provided) with the date and children's names on it for a sign-in sheet.
The ability for a provider to generate a paper backup is also useful for their records.
We also need a "child planner" to assist in making sure the provider does not go over on their limit of children for the day. - This shouldn't be too difficult because the child's "default" in and out time is already preprogrammed. In Washington State, USA a provider can handle eight children if none of them are under two... otherwise it is six, this changes if their is an assistant.
