Little Web App to Organize Company

We are a company that publishes 3 magazines, as well as puts on a couple trade shows. We would like a little web application to allow employees to log in and simply post status updates to the various projects. For example, you will log in. Then go to OSM (one of our magazines) and from there you will be able to see the ad list and editorial list of the upcoming issues. When a new ad is sold from one of our slaespeople, they can add it to the list. When art is submitted, our designer will be able to check a button letting everyone know the art is in. Stuff like that. the Editorial list will be much the same. Our editor will be able to just keep a list of all the upcoming editorials and where they stand for upcoming issues. Basically just a Data entry type application that we can host on one of our web servers for all our employees to log into.

We also want the ability to add projects to the list. So when we are working on the show Program, we will be able to add a new section for Show program that will be able to keep updates on as well for whatever columns we choose.

Looking for something very basic but will fill our needs. The "look" is not important. Just a clean easy to follow little data entry web app.

Looking for something inexpensive in the $200-$300 range

Here's a basic initial outline that may get additions to it.


1. Section to show Press and Release Dates including ad cut off dates

2. Updatable Ad list with columns for (size/issues/art submitted/Invoiced)

- we can then all see status of ads and cross chck them. You will also be able to see when I have received the art. Will also be able to check if ad has been invoiced with all client contact info

3. Editorial List

Section to keep a list of all editorial going in a magazine. Will be columns to show status for who is writing, when it is sent to Mitch, and when it is sent to me.

4. Comments section/Message Board


1. Vendor List

- Updated list of all vendors confirmed to attend the show including booth space booked, and invoice status.

2. Show Marketing and Advertising

-Section to show status of all advertising and marketing materials realted to the show, including print, radio, tv etc. As well as status of all the materials I do for the show like posters, show program etc. Show program will be set much like the magazines

Staff Calendars

-Section where members of the the team can post their status if they are away etc.
