225872 Proxy checker service

Hello, I have already develloped the whole script/website for my service. What I need is a script that work on any linux/unix kind of server (dedicated or not)...but if it will only work on a dedicated server, it's not a problem. I need a script that verify if they are some ip to test listed in my database (mysql). If entries was found, the script will test if the server (ip:port) is online or not. If it is online, the ip will stay in the database and the date and time of the last check will be insert into my database. If the distant server is offline, the ip will be deleted from my database. Example: I have a this database : CREATE TABLE `listIp` ( `id` int(15) unsigned NOT NULL auto_increment, `Ipadress` varchar(15) default '0', `Port` varchar(6) default '0', `Date` date NOT NULL default '0000-00-00', `DatetimeLast` datetime NOT NULL default '0000-00-00 00:00:00', PRIMARY KEY (`id`), UNIQUE KEY `Ipadress` (`Ipadress`) ) ENGINE=MyISAM We suppose, I have 100000 entries. The script will choose the entries and test the first 800 ip:port, the next 800... The number of entries to test must be set in a variable, so I can put it down... It will be great i this script will be run like a daemon, in background, and test continually all the ip adresses. You must devellop the script and install it.
