For starters: THIS PROJECT DOES NOT PAY ANYTHING!
This is a collaboration of programmers worldwide.
I recently read an article on a little old server generating random numbers 0 & 1. Now statistically, if you were to graph the results over time, you would have a level line. It is said that people can affect this random generation and major events can affect this as well.
I hope to get 20 - 50 (or more - the more the better) people world wide who are willing to write/build a simple program to generate 1's & 0's indefinately. This program would run in the background of any pc and shouldn't hinder pc performance at all.
I would need a file of the generated sequence in the format of:
where X is the random number (0 or 1), timestamp is the timestamp (Unix timestamp prefered, but any type of time stamp would work) ended with a ";". The "rn" part is just to be spliced by a windows pc (which is what I'm working with).
There are no constraints except for the fact that the numbers need to be truly random. Write it in your prefered programming language - it doesn't matter - as long as you can provide a .txt file showing results with a timestamp. I would need to keep contact with you so at any time I can get the .txt file and process the data.
If you are interested - please feel free to send me a pm. Once again - this is a "free gig" - just people interested in a little science experiment. And - if for some reason I get famous from this - then I'll compensate you somehow - if I write a paper that gets me a doctrates degree - then I'll thank you - but for now, I'm a broke jobless programmer looking for something to do. Thanks! Nathan
