We have a text file that contains IP addresses of our members. The ip addresses are aligned line by line. Currently we have a form that is being used by us if we want to update someone's dynamic IP address or a new address to update and add. This is getting very tedious to do as they have to first email us thier IP address and then we have to use the form to input the IP address in the text file. For dynamic IP address people we are inputting different IPs each time it changes for them. In a nutshell we want the following 1. A csv or a database table with username, password and IP address. At first the IP address field will be left blank. This is what the moderators or the admins use to first create a csv or a database table with the users along with their password and assign blank ip address. We need a form to set up users and password. 2. A form for our users to input their username, password and their IP address. The form should validate the user and password against the csv or database table as mentioned in the above point to see if the user exists. If the user exists the IP address in the form should be created if it is blank or updated if it already exists with the one input by the user. Before the IP address is updated it should be searched through another text file in another directory that contains the list of IP addresses if the old one exists. If the old IP address exists then the old one should be deleted and the new ip input by the user should be added. Looking at what we want we expect 2 html web forms : 1. One for admins to initiate username, password and ip address. 2. For the users to put it their username, password and a new ip address. Would be great if the script can work on Linux as well as Windows web servers.
