I'm looking for an experienced iPhone SDK 3.x coder to help refactor existing C/C++ code from the x86 platform to iPhone target in XCode. ? The project is 'Objective C++', that is: ? using Objective C for UI and image manipulation while using C/C++ (openCV - computer vision library) for the back end.
The first stage is meant as a pilot stage on both sides. ? In this phase, you'll begin with an existing Xcode project, in which openCV 2.0 is statically linked, and add existing C++ code to this project (~750 lines total, fairly straightforward). ? The initial goal is simply to resolve linker errors, etc., so that the existing Xcode project can cleanly compile with the added C++ code.
A brief introduction to openCV is here: ? [login to view URL]
## Deliverables
As noted above, the first stage is meant as a pilot stage on both sides.
The onward work scope is then to:
2. Re-write C++ image i/o and basic UI/user input code as Objective C
3. Adapt openCV video capture ('cvCapture' )? to a sequence of images, to get around the limitations imposed on full-frame video on iPhone.
Additional, connected work is possible -- and if successful above, indeed likely.
This basic list will be modified to include more detail in the specification discussion.
