WordPress Theme for Dentists

I want to work with individual designers--- not firms or project managers. You must speak perfect English and be based in the US or UK. Do not bid if you don’t meet those requirements. Huge plus if you have lots of experience tweaking WordPress or designing WordPress themes. Design 3 different looks for dentist websites, so that we (or you) can slice them into WordPress 2.8.2 templates. Bogus names and information can be used to test (lorem ipsum), and must be easily editable. The information going into the templates will be driven off a form that has these fields. Ping me if you want access to the web form that will populate the templates??"it may or may not help. We are storing the data in a database, which will then drive population of the site??"if you want to do the theme, you can use our variables or we can populate. In your bid, specify if you want to do just the design or also implement the theme. ## Deliverables **Items to include in each design:** **1. Phone number:** Must be displayed in text (not an image) on every page??"large at top and also in the site footer. May allow up to 3 phone numbers, but default is one phone number. Phone number must be LARGE, since our goal is to drive phone calls. **2. Address:** The address of their dental office??"may allow up to 3 addresses, if they have multiple offices. Shown in the footer, too, with all their contact information. **3. Embedded Google Maps:** Use Google Maps plug-in based on one or multiple addresses. Clicking on the map will take them to a Maps and Directions page that has a larger map??"something similar to this: [login to view URL] **4. E-mail Subscription box:** Box that says “Get [Dr. Smith’s] newsletter?? (insert primary doctor’s name). And upon submission, email goes into an auto-responder flow (mailpress). **5. Blog:** Section showing snippets of latest 3 blog posts. **6. List of services provided:** Driven by the enrollment form??"we will select 4-8 services (subcategories) from among a list of 15 possible services. For example, if 6 services checked off, then leftnav shows 6 items. Each service has its own page with several blocks of default text that talk about “cosmetic dentistry, “sedation dentistry??, “root canal??, or whatever is selected. If you want to go for extra credit, build in variable replacement (“Denver dentist, “Dr. John Smith??), so that it can be “personalized??. Variables include primary doctor’s name, phone number, and main keyword (the combination of their city + dentist). **7. Main area on front page for a video or photo slideshow:** Default is to rotate through 3 canned images, which can be replaced by images uploaded by the dentist. Optionally allow video. We can use some 3rd party plug-ins we have found. **8. Office tour:** one page that allows rotation among selection of images, with text alongside. **9. Office hours:** Small area on homepage, which can be re-used in the contact us and maps/directions pages. **10. Our staff:** Allow one page that looks somewhat like [login to view URL], which has staff member’s name, position, bio, and image. Additional members will just lengthen the page. If no image uploaded, then don’t add blank image??"just make it look like [login to view URL] **11. Form for new patients to request an initial examination appointment** -- (simple contact form) ask for a name, phone number, email, and a preferred day/time. Tell the user they that they will receive a phone call to finalize their appointment time. **12. Testimonials:** Format of title, body text, optional image??"repeating down the page. **13. Payment/insurance information:** a page with a few paragraphs of content that the end user can edit as a page in WordPress. **14. Before/after photo gallery:** Before and after pictures, with a description??"like [login to view URL] Ideally, allow dentist to categorize the gallery, too by subcategories mentioned in #6 above. And, ideally, allow users to click on thumbnail images to see larger versions. **15. Online Forms:** allow patients to download forms??"we will just upload pdf’s onto this single page, plus allow one paragraph greeting/explanation. **16. Specials page:** Optional page that generates if checked in our site creation form. Creates series of coupons that have dotted borders with text and barcode at bottom. Coupon also has a headline, body copy, and optional image. **17. Site footer:** All pages except the homepage to have footer links like this: [login to view URL] One link to each subcategory page (based on #6 above), link to homepage, free consultation, before and after page, about [client name], testimonials, [dentist cityname]. Then last line to say “©2009 [clientname], Cosmetic Dentist serving city1, city2, city3, and the surrounding [metroname] Metro area. This will be pulled from our database tables. **18. Site urls:** If you are doing the WordPress themes, the urls must contain the keywords we are looking to rank for??"primarily the combinations of city name and subcategory. We will use the all-in-one SEO plug-in, unless you have a better recommendation. **Other requirements:** 1. Don't show before/after images on the front page; no ugly teeth should be shown unless users deliberately enter the before/after gallery 2. Logo upload must be in a standard size; these templates need to be reusable for many different dentists. We don’t want to perform a lot of custom design work each time we set up a new dentist. 3. Must allow multiple dentist names to display on the homepage. **Steps:** 1. Create and deliver a front-page mockup for each of 3 different looks. 2. Once approved, create and deliver mockups for all other pages within the site. 3. Once all mockups are approved, you ship us a PSD that we can then slice up. If you want to slice up, too, then include that separately in your bid. **Payment schedule** 33% on project start 33% on approval of the front-page and interior page mocks 34% on project completion.
