I need some quick help with an old PHP document I have. This php document pulls the affiliate ID from the URL and puts it where ever I put <?=$merch> in a hyperlink. But on the last document it wont pull the ID. It's a three step process.
First, go to mypaypro (dot) com/test/?fgrt567 the "?fgrt567" part of the url is an affiliate ID. Notice if you hover over any of the three links at the bottom of the page and you will see the ID is automatically placed in the urls.
Second, enter a name and email in the drop down form... you can put a fake one in for testing purposes... and you will notice it pulls the ID from the page and puts it at the end of the url on the new page. The current pages url should now be mypaypro (dot) com/test/referral (dot) php?fgrt567
Third, and this is where the problem occurs, when you tell a friend about the site, the email that is sent out doesn't pull the affiliate ID.
Now I don't know much about PHP but on the top of the script in the referral(dot)php document there is a line of code which looks like this:
$refby = $_SESSION['$refby'];
but I am using <?=$merch> on the other documents, so I think this is the page with the problem! I have attached the documents so you can take a look and find out what the problem is.
I really think this is an easy issue and shouldn't take long to fix. So please take a look and tell me what you think.
I would like this finished ASAP, so please PM me and I will send you my Yahoo ID so we can start right away.
Payment will be made thru escrow.
