I would like to create a reverse auction website similar to [url removed, login to view] The idea is that the lowest UNIQUE bid will win the item.
For each lot there must be the following information:
What the press says (short description from the press related to the item)
Bids needed (this number must decrease after a bid is placed)
Bids placed so far (this number must increase with every bid placed)
Maximum number of entries
‘Bid now’ button
How much the last auction sold for
The user will press the bid now button to progress, they will then have the chance to enter up to 5 different bids for the lot. After they have entered their bid details they will need to enter contact details and payment details. The website will need to be integrated into a credit card payment processor (this will most likely be Nochex but it has not yet been determined, knowledge of this implementation is absolutely necessary). After this the user will be taken to a ‘Thank you’ page where their bid details will be shown. They will also be emailed a copy of their bids to act as a receipt.
An admin module must be created to allow me to create new auctions, it must also email me when the number of bids needed for a lot is zero and other intervals, and must be able to work out who is the winner (lowest unique bid). The admin module must also be able to update all other areas of the website. I will also need the system to email me whenever a new bid is placed. I should also be able to look over all the bids at any time for a particular lot.
I also need the following pages on the website:
Lots (summary of all the lots currently open)
FAQ / How It Works
Terms and conditions
About / Contact
Results (the system should be able to generate results of each lot similar to [url removed, login to view])
On the homepage there must be some sort of navigation to the other pages above. It should also dynamically be able to show featured lots on the home page.
The whole site will need to be integrated into a site design proposed by myself, you will only be working on the script and the integration of the script with the design. You will not be doing actual design work.
I will only accept bids from people who can show examples of complex work they have worked on in the past.
