We already have a website and a video recording widget. [url removed, login to view] It currently records flash and uploads the file to our server to be played. A user can then email the url to someone else to watch the video. Here's the project:
We think(but aren't 100%) we are going to use Vimeo for our video hosting and encoding. They have a nice API that makes it easy to integrate it into a custom widget. So, for right now, we are going to do the whole first part manually. The video now uploads to our servers, so our admin will take that video and manually upload it to vimeo.
We would like that to automatically generate a page on our site with the video. That page will house the video and the Vimeo player and a user will get an email with the url. When they click save, it will save to something called their "Shoebox" (only if they have an account). Their shoebox will be a bunch of pictures - each represents a video and when clicked, it will open a light box with the video that will allow the user to share it via social media, etc..we are doing this on a Wordpress site and memberships will be take care of by a plugin called WP-wishlist I believe. I am attaching a file to help clear things up. If you have any questions ask me - although I'm leaving for about 6 hours in a few minutes.
If you take the project, you won't be doing it alone - I'll be building it alongside you. Someone with experience with the Vimeo API will be preferred. This person needs to be flexible some minor details may change.
