Our company is adding a bulk emailer to our existing .NET (C#) software suite. It will be a stand alone executable we&'ll install along with our existing products. The software we currently tested and like the look, feel and functionality of is Group Mail Free by Infacta [url removed, login to view] (free download). Features: * Sends .html and .txt right from desktop * Multi threaded application allowing up to 200 mailing simultaneously * Import e-mails from Text files, MS Access, MS Excel, MS OutLook&'s Address Book, and possibly other databases * Able to manage your e-mail Groups and lists easily * URL encryption ability is built in * Email list verifier built in * Must run on any type of Internet connection (even if you are behind a proxy server) * Creates/keeps log files for email jobs including sent/failed/non-deliverables. It gives you the exact server errors such as 'user mailbox not present' or 'unknown user' thereby providing instant e-mail address verification * If emails are sent through Dial-up connection, it must automatically redial if it is disconnected from the net. Also you can specify to hang up when sending is finished * Bulk eMailer must maintain an internal DNS cache. This speeds up the process when you send mail to the same domain the second time * Supports unlimited number of attachments * Software should not put all the addresses in the "To" field. This insures that your mailing list isn't divulged to anyone. Each e-mail is sent as if sent individually * Periodically (every 2 weeks, programmable) confirm User Id & Password via Web Service to allow program execution * Saves your customized preferences to file * Must have an ergonomic interface that is easy to set up and simple to use * Complete online help file with simple step-by-step instructions
