We are looking for an experienced Linux server administrator familiar with PHP+MySQL setups and optimization techniques.
We are currently running Fedora Core release 6 with PHP 5 and MySQL 5.0 on a dedicated server (Intel 3GHz) with 2GB of RAM.
Unfortunately we are experiencing performance issues.
On a random basis this servers stops responding on all ports (SSH, HTTP, FTP...) due to unknown reason (ping is ok).
Sometimes it is possible to log in through SSH and see that mysqld is taking 100% of CPU time yet reboot is not possible through command line but only with a hard reset (remote).
We need someone to investigate the issue, detect the cause for these failures and suggest a solution.
We have already been advised to reinstall the OS but we are not willing to stop the site due to its large number of visitors.
This can be an on-going work (System admin) for the right person.
Contact through email, Skype (and other various messangers) and phone!
Root level access shall be provided, hence, we will require address and contact phone numbers.
All other details about the server and running processes by PM.
Thank you for your bidding!
