This is perhaps a very very simple job, but [url removed, login to view] biting the dust makes it hard for me to troubleshoot, so perhaps someone out there can figure out what I'm doing wrong.
I recently migrated servers for my Vbulletin site and since then the VBSEO Sitemap Builder has stopped working.
But, when you go to the sitemap builder backend interface, it is indeed creating the sitemaps, and when you click on the created sitemaps you can see the proper and usual things to see, thousands and thousands of links that go into the sitemaps. Even when you click on the sitemap file in the backend you can see those links, but only through that backend manager.
Where the problem exists is, in the FTP, there are no files being created whatsoever, so there is a disconnect somewhere in the process where the sitemap builder is just not physically creating the files in the FTP root for Google and other bots to see. I even created empty files with full write access and ran the sitemap builder manually, but still, these files in FTP are not being created/written to by VBSEO Sitemap Builder.
As a result Google Webmaster Tools has sent me message after message saying the Google Bot can not access my sitemaps.
If someone has the wherewithal to fix this problem the job is yours, but I think it must be one setting I'm missing, so I'm considering this a "micro" project.
