[login to view URL] this exercise you will create an MDI program that serves a much different purpose than the one you created in this chapter. This program manages the output of machines in a production line. You will need to record and accumulate the number of good and defective items maufactured on eache production line. (I will send a [login to view URL] that shows what the program should look like. [login to view URL] a new project, and set the Name property of the form to frmEx3. Save the form with the name Chapter.07\Exercise\[login to view URL] and the project with the name Chapter.07\Exercise\[login to view URL] [login to view URL] an MDI parent form to the project. Save the MDI parent form with the name [login to view URL] [login to view URL] the MDI child form, create two text boxes in which the user will enter the number of good and defective manufactured items for a production run. [login to view URL] two output labels and a command button. When the command button is clicked, the program should add to the value of the output labels the current contents of the text boxes. In other words, you are creating an accumulator. [login to view URL] the MDI parent form, create two menu commands with the captions Start Machine and Stop Machine. Both of these menu items should appear on the machine menu. When the Start machine menu item is clicked, a new instance of the MDI child form should be created. When the Stop Machine menu item is clicked, the instance of the active MDI child form should be destroyed. Thus, when the machine is started, a new instance of the MDI child form will appear representing the newly started machine. When the machine is stopped, the corresponding form instance will be destroyed. [login to view URL] a menu title named Production and a menu command named Display Total to display the production output of all machines. This procedure should iterate through the Forms collection, examining the totals for each machine, and compute a grand total. [login to view URL] a third form to display the grand totals. This form should be implemented as a modal standard form. Save the form with the name frmTotal. [login to view URL] the user clicks the Production menu and then Display Total, the form named frmTotal should be displayed. The output should display the total goods and defective production counts for all active machines.
## Deliverables
The program needs to be commented to describe what the statements do. I will also send a [login to view URL] file that shows what the program should look like when it is done.
