I need to accomplish this functionality from a VBA macro:
The macro is passed a userID and password (as strings). It then goes to a webserver and checks to see if that userid and password are authorized. If they are authorized, it returns a string that provides the authorization level. If not authorized or not known, then it returns a blank string.
I will also need some kind of facility on my webserver that handles the entry and maintenance of the passwords, userids, and text string that indicates the authorization level. I would assume this would be done in php, cgi or some other language that runs on my Linux shared webserver.
I would also need installation instructions on putting the code for the webserver on my webserver. I have access to MySQL on my webserver if that is needed.
In your bid, please indicate the language you would be using for the webserver code.
