Overview: The service will provide a printing function for HTML web pages that are written to directories. This service is actually going to take web pages, render them using the IE webcontrol, and then print the page to a printer depending upon the directory the file was located in. Background: This application is for an industrial client that uses PDA’s on the shop floor to control production. The PDA cannot print, so this app is needed. The PDA uses web pages to view reports, status, etc. Occasionally the user needs to print that report (web page). The solution will involve writing the HTML page to a server location (already done on the server side by an ASP file), and then this service will print the job to the correct printer (see below for more information). Requirements: The client wants this service to be written using Dot Net technologies (Either C# or VB.NET). This is their attempt to test the waters of Dot Net in a production environment, without anything very risky to their core business (smart). Details: Please read the attached PDF on the complete requirements and details (Not enough room here).
