I need a VB program that will recurse through a directory, find all files, assign the file name to a VB variable, then move on to the next file. When the program is first run, it should prompt the user for a starting point somewhere in the file system; presumably, this would happen through a standard window. The user should be able to pick any one point in the file system to have the program begin, from the top of the root C: or D: or E: drives, all the way to a folder located deep down in the file system. The program should then find the file names of all files in that directory, as well as all the files in all sub-directories below that directory. Once it finds each file name, the program should assign that name to the VB variable, FileName. It should also assign the complete path name to the variable PathName. For example, for the file C:\Documents\Samples\[url removed, login to view], the variable FileName would be set to "[url removed, login to view]" while the variable PathName would be set to "C:\Documents\Samples\[url removed, login to view]" Once it has done this, the program should loop to find the next file, continuing in this manner until done. (Before the program loops on, it is going to be running some operations on FileName and PathName based on a program that I am writing.) Note that I am not interested in system files or hidden files in this program.
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased.
