I require a small update package to be written in REALBasic which will follow the logic documented bellow. The original request was for C++, which has been cancelled. I now require the project written in REALBasic. The code has to run on all versions of Windows from 95+, and also MacOS8+ (including MacOSX). Logic is as follows: -Quit specific running applications -Locate the path where this application was executed [SourcePath] -Read a few lines in a file [SourcePath:[url removed, login to view]] -Find hardcoded Application [Application] -Inform user and quit if [Application] doesn't exist -Ask user to locate a folder [TargetFolder], default to registry/prefs setting -Store the full path of [TargetFolder] in the registry/prefs for future use -Duplicate [TargetFolder] to a temp location [TempFolder] -Copy all files in [SourcePath:NewFiles] to [TempFolder] -Launch [Application], wait for it to terminate. -Check registry/prefs for feedback from [Application] if all OK continue, otherwise inform user and quit. -Find all files within [TempFolder] with extension .new -Delete old files within [TempFolder] which have the same name as the new files, with extension .abc -Rename .new files to extension .abc -Ask user to select a folder [BackupFolder], default to registry setting -Store full path to [BackupFolder] in registry for future use -Move [TargetFolder] to [BackupFolder] -Move [TempFolder] to [TargetFolder] -Inform user process is complete The user interface is not too important, as I will insert the new code into my REALBasic project. An installer NOT REQUIRED. More detail will be released to the winning bidder. At this stage this should be sufficient information.
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Installation package NOT REQUIRED 3) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased.
Windows 95, NT, 98, 2000, ME, XP MacOS8, MacOS9, MacOSX
