i'm using VB6, with the Crystal 8.5 RDC, off a btreive db, the goal is to have the Crystal viewer print shipping labels based on one label per part per quantity being shipped. i.e. the db has the Sales order #, part #, description, Y/N flag to ship, PartQty to ship, etc. if this user specifies a specific Sales order #, then it will bring in all lines (parts that are flagged to be released) SO# 1800, P-100, Tin cans, flag = Y, Pqty = 5, (2nd line) SO# 1800, P-7744, String, flag = Y, Pqty = 3. this example i will want to print 8 ship label, based on the two records. 5 of the 1st part, and 3 of the 2nd part. this will always be a dynamic value. for the end user is only going to enter in the SO #, and nothing else. we will rely solely on the data in the database to populate either a recordset of other means, that creates one label per part per part quantity. i don't have a problem opening the db, either directly or using a SQL statement to get the record selection. My problem lies in the ability to LOOP the individual record based on the Pqty to ship. i've tried to do this even with an ADO Recordset. the number of records that pulls in will always be based on a given Sales Order and how many lines are being released. i have no problem getting these records. i specifically want to use the RDC such that the code and rpt remain embedded in the app. i have the flexibility to format the crViewer as well. i figure there must be an easy way for this to occur. am willing to discuss what options i've tried. i know it needs a looping routine, but i can't seem to place it in the right spot or build correctly. ## Deliverables Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
