We are looking to put a new site together in order to home a portal for users, and companies to search for people that has done a personal profile test, listed as personality types. The site will require that the users registering on the site have to fill in manditory fields about themselves which will be stored in the Database. there are 8 profile types, all working in varied idustries. Profile types as well as other fields like industries, location etc, need to be in dropdowns when searching these fields. a extensive predefined list of industries would be a plus. The objective of the site is to: * Be a conduit for connecting profiled people * Assist individuals, entrepreneurs, SMEs, corporate * Assist in the process of building cohesive teams * Identify spectrum-appropriate and field-specific mentors * Provide a wide range of specific coaching * Contribute as an integral partner in strategic growth * Build value-add relationships * Deliver dedicated customer service We looking at generating income from registrations on the site for the individual as well as companies. So an online credit card payment gateway will need to be included that is able to deal with South African banks. Take a look at the attached files, the powerpoint file shows a lot more of the requirement for the site. I would prefer the site to run as PHP based and use MySQL, first prize would be for the site to use Joomla so updates and template changes be made easier for us to manage fom our site. The stored for the database information can be stored in a seperate MySQL database if need be, the hosting environment can handle this easily. The system needs to be able to send news letter or group e-mail to groups defined by profile type, location, industry type etc. Your previous experience with this type of system will be considered as we will require your input as to features that may or may not be of use to this site.
