We have a custom Drupal e commerce site that we want to redesign in both interface and feature to simplify management and increase its e commerce effectiveness. Our ultimate goal is to be like [login to view URL] or Chocomize.com. We will consider other platforms but are leaning to big commerce or magneto. We would stay with Drupal if all can be accomplished just by retheming our current site and tweaking some features. We are considering using BigCommerce and Magneto to accomplish the Ecommerce shopping cart but want slick front end personality to the site, and the ability to produce a PDF template on the back end that will be used to customize each product (product = 5 components chosen from 100, and uploaded or input personalization fields from user; gift wrap option and ability to parts send an order to multiple locations (gifting). We need to be able to update the site ourselves quickly and want to run the entire business with as few people involved as possible. Part two of the project will be to redesign our Facebook presence and increase traffic to the site, so seo important in redesign. We must be mindful of our current rankings and carefully map existing content to preserve seo.

It seems that you are kind of confused as to whether to redesign the site in terms of theme design in Dhrupal or else converting into a new platform AT the moment it would be difficult for us to provide you exact conclusion as we havent seen the site.
