We are needing a [url removed, login to view] or [url removed, login to view] type of business directory/search website creating around a given design (as shown here [url removed, login to view])
The website will be made up of the following sections
1. Website front end - Main page
2. Website front end – Search Results
3. Website front end - Customer Free Submission
4. Website front end – Customer Website Signup
5. Website Login – Customer Login & Members Page
6. Website back end – Admin Main Page
7. Website back end – Categories
8. Website back end – Mail
WEB SITE FRONT END : Main Page
The Main Frontend of the website will primarily require 3 boxes which will be:
Business Name, Business Type, Location
When entered the visitor will expect to fill in "Business Name" or "Business type" and "Location". The results will come up with any data that includes both of these peices of information.
So Business Name will be Company Name, Business Type will be Categories of business type added in the back end and Location will check county, post code or town which have been added to the database.
WEB SITE FRONT END : Search Results
The Results page will be similar to that of yell showing company name, business type, telephone number, email (standard mailto: link to their address) and website link (if they have one). We would also like a link called (Map) this will be a link we will add manually in the back end.
The Results page will allow the customer to choose between 5,10 and 20 results per page and goto the next page etc.
WEB SITE FRONT END : Customer Free Submission
The customer will have to fill out a form including the name, address, telephone number, email address, business type (from the ones we have added in the back end). Username and password (which will be emailed to them), Website url – (if they have one).
*Once this is submitted we would like to be emailed that a customer has signed up and then be able to login to the backend of the site and authorize them ( so we can check the submission before we add it to the database. With a simple edit details or submit option.
WEB SITE FRONT END : Customer Website Signup
This will be a form which the customer will fill out (a basic form which uses formmail to email us). They will be presented with a form to choose website type (which will start as Basic Or Full web site design) Name, address, telephone, username & password (if already a member)
CUSTOMER LOGIN : Customer Login & Members Page
Customer will be presented with a login & password input box. They sign in (once there account has been authorized in the back end by us) And they are presented with a form that imports all their previous details (company name, tel, password etc) and also allows them to change any of them and submit. (The changes only go into the database once we have authorized them in the back end.
WEB SITE BACK END : Admin Web Login
A page (possibly /admin/ folder) will let us login in securely with a username and password which can be changed in admin
WEB SITE BACK END : Admin Main Page
*All admin pages contain links to other admin pages which are listed after:
The admin main page will allow us to change the main page username and password for admin, and also meta desc, keywords and title.
*Admin – This page
Categories – Allows is to add/edit/remove categories & customers.
Mail – Allows us to email all emails in database
WEB SITE BACK END : Categories
The categories page will allow us to add/edit or delete Categories/Subcategories (the category the customer chooses to place his business type in will be the same thing- eg- Joiners)
When creating or editing the Categories Page we are presented with:
A) Category Name – Or move to other Category as Subcategory (dropdown of available categories) * Category Name will be page Title
B) Description – This will be the meta description
C) Keywords – This will be the meta keywords
Also we need to be able to browse the categories for listings of the customers and have an edit & a delete button so we can alter details etc if we need to.
WEB SITE BACK END : Mail
This page will allow us to write an email which will accept html to all member who have signed up with an email addresss.
