Enhance existing web-based database application for standalone use without requiring user to have a particular program. PC Windows environment initially. Need a high quality "web type" appearance; OK to rely upon a web browser for user interface. Add features and reports not currently available in the online version. Current backend database is Access. View at [url removed, login to view] This application returns the color equivlents for any of 10 brands of needlework thread. Project manager will provide partially complete Access application as an example, detailed list of desired functionality, complete all image scans and optimization, and negotiate any third party licenses. New features will include ability to select source brand and target brand instead of getting all the brand equivalents; to convert a list of colors at once, instead of one at a time, to print results of color conversions, print inventory lists, print color charts, link to pictures and information available on the web and on the CD. Add tables for usage information for each thread brand. Should be user friendly for inexperienced users, and be easy for Project Manager to add brands to the tables (special interface?)
