I already have a Leak Noise Corellation OCX written by a student. This task is almost complete and I would like it completed. This is the full requirement:
An activex to be used in VB that:
1. Can read 2 channels from a stereo sound card
2. Display channel signal strength
3. Display frequency & FFT for each channel
4. Display coherence
5. Perform a cross-correlation in real time and show on a real time graph (see attached sample) and be able to use different algorithms to do so if possible( Blackman, Hanning, Hamming etc).
6. Have an autocursor that selects the highest peak automatically and outputs the time delay as a variable
7. Be able to manually move the cursor and have the time delay change the variable value accordingly
8. Provide filtering
a. High pass
b. Low pass
c. Notch
9. Save incoming channels As a stereo wave file
10. Open saved wave files and perform all analysis above
This is what still requires to be done:
1. The activex correlates time delays for some files but not all.
2. Only a time delay is displayed. This means multiple cross-correlations can’t be identified.
3. Once the S/N Ratio gets below 100:1, the correlation doesn’t work. I believe that a non-linear filter of some type is required 4. We need to be able to see the signal levels of the left & right channels.
5. We need to be able to correlate in real time via a stereo sound card.
6. We need to be able to save incoming sounds as a wave file.
7. There needs to be better signal analysis:
a. Frequency display of each channel
b. FFT of each channel so we can see the dominant frequencies in each channel
c. Coherance value for the cross-correlation so we have a confidence factor
A test application and sample files are available to the winning bidder.
## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
