The successful supplier will create a small, stable and reliable XP/2000 application that can accesses multiple ODBC data sources allowing a single user to build and run database queries that seemlessly combine results into a single table on a scheduled basis and then, using a different schedule, output or transmit the data via Windows Real COM to one or more wireless devices running uCLinux. The transmission is a one-way process and no data will be transmitted back to the application from the wireless device.
MS Office Automation is key to the success of this project. Access to and reuse of components common to MS Excel, MS Access and MS Outlook will be required - as opposed to the reinvention or creation of such objects.
A sub-component to this application is also required. This requires the creation of Excel 2007 templates that utilises specific SQL Server 2005 functionality. Suppliers are asked to bid on the project as a whole, with the template specification being provided once the supplier has accepted the award and signed our non-disclosure agreement.
Additional budget is available for template/SQL Server functionality and this can also be managed as a separate project and integrated later on.
Budget circa $3,000USD for the main application, circa. $1.5-2kUSD for the sub-component.
Serious bidders only please. No timewasters!
See attached specification.
