Two products are made: One with shirt information printed on the back only and the other shirt has information printed on the front and back. If the shirt gets printing on the front and back then the front is printed first. There are two printing areas: one area with one machine for front printing one shirt at a time and one area with three machines for back printing one at a time each. Time to print front in N(2, 0.5) and time to print back is uniformly distributed between 3 and 7 minutes. Orders arrive an average rate of 15 per day and time between orders is exponentially distributed. Company operated 10 hours per day and on average, two-thirds of the orders require front and back printing, one third requires printing on the back only. 15% of orders are for 10 shirts, 50% are for 20 shirts, and 35% are for 30 shirts. Printing machines require 30 minutes of maintenance every 6 hours, and time between maintenance actions and the time to perform the maintenance are both exponential distributed. The layout needs to show total work in progress inventory in terms of orders and one in terms of shirts and display the time the order spends in the system while the simulation is running. Run simulation for 2000 hours.
