The objective of the project is to deploy an upgrade kit to multiple retail business locations.
We are an enterprise software company in the Boston, MA area. We have hundreds of retail locations running our software. We are looking to deploy upgrade to each one of these locations.
At the moment we have limited resources doing this and want to increase the deployment rate.
This is less of a development project and more of a manual deployment of software. It requires a person to perform software upgrades during the time a retail location is closed generally from 1am to 6am. The upgrade generally includes the following steps;
-Remote connection via VNC to a store location -Execution of batch files for separate install tasks -Monitoring install progress during specific phases -Restating specific services if required -Testing and QA of application when the install is complete -Contacting the customer before and after the upgrade
The following skills are required:
-High level of Technical competence
-Understanding of VNC
-Understanding of Windows operating systems and servers -Ability to interact with customers -Ideally in the Boston Area for initial training
