I have taken over the management of an existing Drupal website.
I am going to convert the Drupal Site, COntent and Theme to a WordPress Site (using [url removed, login to view])
However, because of the way Drupal and its .htaccess files are setup I cannot get access to the [url removed, login to view] directory. I keep getting Drupal 404 errors.
Unfortunately I dont know enough about customising .htaccess files to get around this which is why I am posting on here.
The existing Drupal site appears to be installed into the root of the host and I have the following directories at root level; (please also see attached screenshot);
public_html contains the companys oldest website (and can probably be deleted later)
dev contains the following folders;
[url removed, login to view]
There is 1 .htaccess file in the root of dev and another in dev/[url removed, login to view]
I've installed wordpress in both public_html/wordpress and public_html_new/wordpress but I cannot access the content of the folder, let alone install WordPress. The hosting company inform me the Database is setup and they can connect to it by SSH okay, however I constantly get a Drupal 404 error when trying to access the directory. I need someone skilled in .htaccess files.
I have also attached the two original .htaccess files from the drupal installation. Feel free to pass any comments.
Can you please post if you are proficient in .htaccess customisation and an estimate of cost for this. I need to get it done in the next week.
