We are a small IT/consultant recruiter firm in Silicon Valley ([url removed, login to view])... We are small but growing. We have some pretty solid accounts we hope to grow with, including Cisco, Verisign, NetApp and then 5 smaller companies.. We currently have 40 consultants in the field.
We need a decent website simply to advertise ourselves. We don't generate or plan to generate business through our website.. We just need a nice site to give information about ourselves.. There are many job board sites.. we don't want that.
Here is the assignment... I give you photos (nice photos I am an amatuer photographer), you review flash sites built by bludomain (they build flash websites for wedding photographers), we discuss which photographic sites have elements we like... you take my pictures, take content, take elements and build a static web site with the most important aspest being beauty.. I don't care if the site photos fail to illustrate what we do... I just want a beautiful site... I believe that less is more so don't trick it out to the max.. it should load quickly and be pleasant for the eye to look... gentle... ... more right brain than left
Kicker... if you do a good job maybe we could throw some more work your way but we specialize in databases but then again we are in the valley (silicon) and we are in the job finding business... so you make the call.
I want to present rough prototypes to our president within 7 days and then spent 3 days flushing it out.
