Report Application (.NET)

The application is to be written in C# and SQL Server in back end. It is essential to have proper object architecture and layer structure to ensure ease of migration to another database. The application must support names with accents in characters. The project is to be divided into 3 stages: 1. Reading flat files and dumping them into tables of identical structure. The tabes are to be located in a seprate database. Rows are to be stampted with date and batch code for ease of authentication. Files are delivered password protected archive and must be extracted prior to processing. File names are usually the same but some flexibility must be built in if names, passwords, etc change. I will supply format specifications. Simple GUI to handle this must be created. There are about 20 files, but there are only about 5-6 important big ones. All coding should be done efficiently without going back and forth to database as there are thousands of records. Must be able to recover if failed (i.e. no duplicate or missing records). 2. Data to be moved into another databse in organized fashion and with relational schema. Some data does not need to be moved as it is not relevant (filter it out). Again recovery must be available and log file. 3. Extend GUI to handle to provide report option selections: date, report type and parameters. Create reports with ability to sort/group. About 10 reports based on the filtered out data. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows? (depending on the nature? of the deliverables): a)? For web sites or? other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software? installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform C#, SQL Server 2000, .NET 1.1, Chrystal Reports for .NET (other options?), Win XP, Win 2000
