We have a social networking website hardcoded for a particular domain name. It sends out email alerts to corresponding members when members contact each other on the site, or flirt or add one another to each other's favourite lists. In addition, it has opt out links to allow opt-in members to unsubscribe themselves from email communication from our site at anytime. Everything is working fine. But now's the challenge:
Given that this is a social networking site hard-coded for a particular domain name, we now have some inflexibility. We need it to be re-adapted such that it can be re-installed or reconfigured to work 100% FINE on ANY OTHER NEW domain names, by simply changing the domain name used in the admin area. Is there a way to do this without ANY bugs at all ? Understand the databases, email-sending conditions, email templates, and php pages all have to be taken into account in adapting the whole site to ANY new domain name specified from the admin area. No ROOM FOR ANY BUGS ALLOWABLE !!!
