Other than that I'd have to disappoint you - full screen on load is a no-no for security reasons from every major browser nowadays. User interaction first is required from all the browsers, which kills the purpose and user expirience. But a well placed full width/height hero scene on page load, without actually forcing the browser to go full screen is possible and gets the job done just as well.
