Hello, I am Marvin. I am trying to start a business similar to Uber in my country, Turks and Caicos Islands.
The should feature a price calculator where, within a travelling distance of 5 km, the price would be 2 dollars and then for every extra kilometre would increase the price by $0.70 per kilometre. The app should use a map and geolocation service, and be available on both iOS and Android devices.
There should be a Driver, Customer, and Vendor Tab on entrance of the app to allow the users to login in to their function.
For Drivers; the app should prompt them to login with a registration number and not an email address. The registration number of the driver should only be able to set up by managers such as myself or a colleague designated to do so. We will be using our drivers' drivers license number as the registration number to present to customers in order for the customer to correctly identify his or her driver.
Customers will be required to set up a profile in which their Name, photo, cell phone number, date of birth, personal information ((optional), e.g. medical history), emergency contact, and address will be recorded. Managers and IT staff will always have access to this information for database checks. Drivers will have access to the customer’s name and photograph as well as Unique ID number. Extensive information on a customer should only be accessed in emergency situations such as severely intoxicated or a medical emergency and must be authorized by senior staff member. Customers will have the option to pay for their service via a credit, debit, or prepaid master card, or to purchase a transportation voucher at one of the many outlets located around the Island of Providenciales. Customers will be given a unique ID number which will allow their records to be located by the outlets. Customers will have the option to request immediate transportation, as well as schedule a time for which transportation will be needed. When scheduled, customers will have the option to select a driver with whom they wish to ride with. All customers requesting a ride using the in-app service will have access to the driver’s name, photograph, and registration number, and will be requested to rate their driver’s experience. These ratings will be displayed to all customers and will allow another customer to make informed decisions as to whom to travel with when scheduling a ride
The vendor Tab should allow a vendor to sign in and request a transport for a customer located at the vendor's location. This should generate a random voucher number consisting of alphanumeric characters which will be sent into the drivers network for any responding driver to see. The app should allow usage of debit or credit cards.
The website should contain all the information located in the app as well as information about to company and how to contact us.
