I already have a website that I have been running for my business for a while. It is an educational business. I am an online course maker. I made video tutorials with homework, etc in matheamtics, physics and chemistry.
I am thinking about upgrading it by installing Moodle(LMS) or Open edX on it where people can login with ID and password. I personally found edX easier to make courses with but I am not sure which platform will be easier to enable automatic grant of access upon payment.
I would like it so that when people pay for certain course, they are given access to a course automatically. With admin access, I need to be able to create/update courses. I need someone to explain to me how to do this and make it easy for me.
My current website is [login to view URL]
In summary, it would be idea to achieve
1. Within the website, customers can view available courses and pay online. Customers can view sample videos, details about the online course and pay through paypal. Of course, the website will need to be restructured and edited.
2. Customers can create ID with their email address. When purchasing a course, they enter their email address. They then get automatic access to the course they purchased. They have to login with ID(email) and password to get access to the course.
3. The courses will need to be easily editable by myself. I know it is easy to do on Moodle Cloud but I do not know how difficult it will be on open Moodle installed on my website.
In brief summary
Customers View Course Marketing -> Make payment and register email -> System grants access to course purchased to the registered ID-> Customers can create ID and password with which they access the courses.
