We have a client with a Shopify store which we have used merely as a catalogue. We have not shown prices for products in store. Instead we altered the theme to click on an enquiry button instead of the add to cart button. We now want to convert back to a fully fledged Shopify store.
We use the the theme: Furnitica-vinova-home5
The next steps:
1. Reintroduce the add to cart button in the theme.
2. We sell tiles and we need a plugin built that allows us to sell per m2 for pricing but allow for number of boxes to be sold. So if someone wants 10m2 we need to calculate how many boxes of tiles that will be. Each manufacturer will have a different number of tiles in a box. So popular sizes are 300mm x 300mm or 600mm x 600mm tiles. We also have odd sizes such as 1200mm x 600mm and even much smaller sizes. So when we GRV the tiles into stocky we need to calculate back to a sum price which must appear on the invoice (POS) and also the number of boxes issued for stock taking purposes. As an example we have a supplier that packages 4 tiles in a box. tile size 600x600 which covers 1,44m2. In addition it would be good to also input the weight to allow for shipping costs. So in this example for a client needing 3 meters squared we would have to see three boxes. Which is slightly more than he needs but on the invoice (an in the website) we need to reflect the price per square meter as well as the total of the three boxes.
3. We need upsells. So when a client orders tiles we need pop ups to offer tile cement, edging, sealer etc which are complimentary products to sell at the same time.
I will expect you to demonstrate that you have read my brief correctly and thought about the job before committing to a fixed price,
