Help me add another language version of the website

Hi! We have a Laravel website, and it's currently only available in English. We would like to make the website multilingual; in total, it's going to be 4 languages, but for now, we only need to add one (French).
We need help with making the website available in both English & French. Some of the things we're going to need help with are:
1. Creating all the necessary files in the directory, e.g. language files, routes, language middleware, controller
2. Adding the language button in the menu (both mobile & desktop). Needs to be English/French but with the possibility to add more languages (so not a toggle, more like a dropdown list)
3. Structuring files in the directory (we're not sure how and where it'd be best to keep the pages in other languages)
